The Korean War is generally considered a failure. Many troops or civilians died without a victory for either side, leaving around two million South Korean orphans. Both sides suffered heavily from the devastation.
However, not everything connected to the war can be considered a failure. The UN proved its usefulness
by using diplomacy to help end violence in a major international dispute.
